Description
The contractor shall provide Ammunition Processing Technician services necessary to support the Materiel Operations Division (MOD), Logistics Branch, at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). Services will include the processing, transportation, and storage of foreign ammunition and explosives. The contractor shall provide personnel necessary to ensure the accountability, security, record keeping, proper packaging, and shipment of all foreign ammunitions and explosives under the Foreign Materiel Program. The service will include both administrative duties and physical labor. These duties are to be performed in a manner to allow maximum utilization of material, equipment, and storage space. The Contractor must, at all times, maintain an adequate work force for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined within the statement of work. The stability and continuity of the workforce is essential. The Ammunition Processing Technician positions require a security clearance at the SECRET level prior to award in order to perform the duties. Personnel will be required to use FORMMS Database for processing of ammunition and explosives. Packaging and shipping documentation must be accomplished in accordance with Department of Transportation Directives. All preservation and storage of munitions must be performed in accordance with all Department of Defense Directives. Services are to be provided at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. Travel may be required to Letterkenny Munitions Center and Dover Air Force Base The period of performance is 12 months. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price type contract.
