- SYNOPSIS The Air Force intends to make an award on a competitive basis for full and open competition for HAZMAT personal protection equipment (PPE). The item listing includes DuPont-brand Tychem apparel; Scott-brand self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA) and accessories; Ludlum-brand radiation monitoring meters and accessories; gas monitors/sensors; decontamination equipment; and magnetic tanker tourniquets and hot zone flashlights. The contractor shall follow specific requirements in accordance with (IAW) the performance work statement (PWS). The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and tools to perform the work in accordance with the PWS. The solicitation, FA2517-10-T-6029, will be available on or about 29 January 2010. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web site http://www.fbo.gov/. This requirement will be accessible to those companies deemed eligible by the information they provided when they register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) web site http://bpn.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments and other general information, will also be distributed solely through this site. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have up-to-date information about this acquisition and are encouraged to monitor and register their company on the Interested Vendor List (IVL) and Register to Receive Notifications. The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Priced contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423850, Service Establishment Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers, with a small business size standard of 100 employees.
