- RECOVERY - CASCADES VOLCANO OBSERVATORY (CVO) TELEMETRY UPGRADES The U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Cascades Volcano Observatory (CVO) has a requirement to design and install a backbone telemetry system throughout several sites in the Pacific northwest. This project will follow a "design-install" format where the contractor will be required to provide the following: 1) Design the backbone telemetry systems, 2) Prepare a complete statement of work outlining the installation services, and 3) Install the approved system for seven (7) individual permanent sites and establish 2 additional mobile sites. Permanent sites include the following locations: a.Glacier Peak, WA b.Grass Mountain, WAc.Pine Mountain, ORd.Walker Mountain, ORe.Crescent, ORf.Lake National Park, ORg.Redding, CA The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm-fixed price (FFP) type contract. The required performance period is anticipated to be from contract award through 30 Sep 2011. The solicitation and any documents/files related to this procurement may be available on the internet on or about 26 Feb 2010. A formal solicitation is not available for release at this time. This requirement is set aside for small businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 517919 and the size standard is $25M. There is no incumbent contractor. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Inclusion of unique provisions implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
