MARKET SURVEY CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR TERMINAL SERVERS Title: FLIGHT DATA INPUT/OUTPUT (FDIO) TERMINAL SERVERSReference number: Name: Donald L. Richardson Sr.Organization: FAA, AJA-46Region: FAA Headquarters Phone Number: 202-385-8415E-mail: donald.richardson@faa.govDate: February 1, 2010Archiving Date: February 12, 2010Procurement Method: Market Survey This market survey is issued in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) paragraph 3.2.1.2.1, to obtain information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside this requirement among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small business's or 8(a) certified firms. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small business; and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing FDIO terminal servers as described in Attachment A. The FAA intends to procure terminal servers to replace the existing terminal servers at various locations throughout United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and Saipan. The FAA will not pay for any information received or cost incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor expense. This market survey is not a request for proposal (RFP). At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334114, Computer Terminals Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 people. Firms interested in participating in the aforementioned survey, shall submit a capabilities statement not to exceed 10 pages in length, addressing the following: 1.Describe your experience and ability to provide terminal servers as described in (Attachment A), FDIO Terminal Server Specification. 2.Identify any subcontractor or teaming arrangements that may be used to fulfill the requirements3.Provide a completed Business Declaration Form (Attachment B).
