- NOT a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, MI is conducting a market survey for qualified small businesses (including Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, and/or Hub Zone) capable of providing the required construction services outlined below for the John D. Dingell VAMC Applicable NAICS code is 238160, size standard $14 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than February 8, 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. Description of work to be performed includes: Repair Roofs, Phase 1: Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, miscellaneous materials, equipment, and supervision as specified to complete Project 553-10-117, "Repair Roofs, Phase 1," at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. The scope of work for this replacement roofing project will include assessment, design, and construction of approximately 6,560 sf of existing roof. The project consists of all Demo and Architectural work to replace the roof system located to the east and west of both Atriums. In addition, an alternate bid is anticipated to furnish a complete roofing report that would cover our 34 different roof sections (Approximately 254,000 sf). The report should include a roof drawing with all dimensions, mechanical units, drains and all other penetrations. Test cores describing the composition of the roofing assembly. Provide an estimated life expectancy for all areas and a budget amount for roof replacement. Describe all defects with photographs and a price to perform needed repairs. Accomplish this work during a 160 day period during normal work hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm) All work should be in accordance with the 'Work Required' section and in strict compliance with all national, state, county and local codes having jurisdiction.
