Description
Sources Sought: The Veterans' Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Providence located at 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI, is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of SMALL BUSINESSES (PARTICULARLY SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED and VETERAN OWNED), capable and interested in providing ambulance services for the VAMC Providence. Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, equipment, travel, expertise, supervision, disposal, and permits, necessary to provide Advanced life support (ALS), Basic life support (BLS) and Wheelchair van ambulance transportation services for inter-facility transportation within New England and beneficial travel to and from their home to the VA facility in Providence or CBOC located in New Bedford, MA, Hyannis, MA, and Middletown, RI. The anticipated performance period is 1 April 2010 through 30 September 2010 with four (4) twelve month renewal option periods. The Government intends to execute multiple award contracts with qualified contractors under the authority listed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The NAICS Code is 621910, and the size standard is $7.0 million dollars. Responses to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists in the small business community in order to set this procurement aside for small business concerns. IMPORTANT: All qualified and interested parties are encouraged to participate; however, preference will be given to firms located in the New England area for obvious cost and timely performance concerns.
