U.S. MEAT ANIMAL RESEARCH CENTER FERTILIZER REQUIREMENTS - JAN. 1, 2010 thru SEPT. 30, 2010 Quantities requested may vary +/- 20% from the amounts listed below. • UREA, 46-0-0. Granular, free flowing, not prilled. For use in dry land and irrigated forage production. Quantity: 700 ton The Contractor shall deliver Urea on an as-needed basis. The delivery will be contingent upon weather conditions. It is anticipated that delivery will be required March 2010 through May 2010. Deliveries shall be made with pneumatic truck trailers in the approximate amount of 25 tons per delivery and placed in Government storage tank at Building 98. • MONOAMMONIUM PHOSPHATE (MAP). 11-52-0. To be used for fertilization of corn and alfalfa/grass acres. Quantity: 50 ton. The Contractor shall deliver Monoammonium Phosphate on an as needed basis. The delivery will be contingent upon weather conditions. It is anticipated that delivery will be required mid February 2010 through April 2010. Deliveries shall be made by pneumatic truck trailers in the approximate amount of 25 tons per delivery and placed in government storage tank at building 98. • UREA AMMONIUM NITRATE, 32-0-0. For fertilization of irrigated corn and irrigated pastures. UAN will be utilized on row crop acres pre-emerge and post emerge. Quantity: 620 ton. The Contractor shall deliver Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution to government storage facility located at building 98 (5000-gallon storage capacity) or to portable storage located near current usage areas. Deliveries shall be made on an as-needed basis; maximum size of load shall be no greater then 25-ton. Anticipated delivery will be from March 15, 2010 through September 30, 2010. In addition the Contractor shall provide two 1,000-gallon tank wagons with 2" distribution lines and transfer pump for use during the pre-plant application season, beginning March 15. Four additional wagons shall be provided during the irrigation season (June - September). The four tank wagons supplied during irrigation season are not required to be equipped with a transfer pump.
