Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: SERVICES OF PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST AND FUNCTIONAL ANALYST Background: The Military Nutrition Division (MND), United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of the services of a Program Management Specialist and Functional Analyst to support research projects at the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine Detachment at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Ft. Bragg, NC. Description: The Program Management Specialist will provide program management support for the Military Operational Medicine Research Program (MOMRP) and the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) Medical Research Detachment at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Ft Bragg. This individual must have the background and capabilities to serve as Deputy Director of the medical research unit in the absence of the Director. The requisite skills to meet this responsibility include: a scientific and technical background of the level required to understand the research activities of the unit, oral and written communication skills needed to prepare reports and provide briefs at various levels on the activities of the unit, and an understanding of the research regulatory and human use requirements. This individual will contribute to research data collection and analysis requiring computer skills involving word processing, database management and statistics. The individual will also be responsible and financially accountable for the units medical and non-medical equipment and supplies (property book accountability). A variety of administrative tasks will also be performed to include fitness facility management, primary key control custodian, maintenance of signature cards, submission/tracking of work orders, and update of telephone rosters. The Functional Analyst provides research project coordinator support for MOMRP research studies in the USARIEM/WAMC Medical Research Detachment, Ft Bragg, NC. This individual develops research tracking forms and databases, administers surveys, and briefs potential research participants. The analyst is responsible for data collection and input into appropriate databases and conducts descriptive analysis to address research questions. Assists research investigators in preparing briefings for study participants and assists in responding to information requests from higher levels of command. This individual is the subject matter expert and point of contact for the use, maintenance, and life-cycle management of the Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) machine. Responsible for completing various administrative tasks to include maintaining a Ft. Bragg contact list of potential research subjects and procuring supplies. Assists with fitness facility management as necessary. This individual serves as the facilitys training official, unit Fire Marshall and assists with development of marketing materials to include provision of support for potential detachment website. This individual will also have and maintain certification as a fitness or personal trainer from an accredited program.
