Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Northern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), 500 N US Highway 89 Prescott, Arizona intends to negotiate a Sole Source Procurement for Air Ambulance Services with Native American Air Ambulance, Inc. of 6402 E Superstition Springs Blvd Mesa, AZ 85206. This procurement is being accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 6.302- 1 and under authority of Title 38 USC 8153. The Air Ambulance Services are used for veteran patients and beneficiaries experiencing life threatening conditions within the Northern Arizona region only. Services shall be provided 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. Air Ambulance Service is regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Arizona Department of Health Services, and the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS). The Contractor must provide the Government with all written documentation mandated by the controlling Federal and State agency. It is further understood that only a physician or registered nurse with critical care training and current advanced cardiac life support shall be designated as the medical flight attendant, in accordance to the standards of CAMTS for any critical care transport for the Air ambulance Services. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 621910 and size standard is $7.0 Million. This notice of intent is NOT as a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will NOT be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer (9-90C) ATTN: Paulette N. Pereira, SAVAHCS, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. Responses received will be evaluated; however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the SAVAHCS will proceed with the sole source procurement to Native American Air Ambulance, Inc.
