Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit for Medical Transcription Services for the following Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs): Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC, Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, NC, Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC, Naval Hospital Oak Harbor, WA, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA and Naval Health Clinic New England and its branch clinics at Portsmouth, VA, Groton, CT, Brunswick, ME and Newport, RI. The services to be provided will consist of medical transcription services from dictation (i.e., hand written notes, typed drafts, or voice recordings, etc) which covers a wide range of medical specialties. The Contractor shall transcribe all dictation in the correct Government required format as specified in the individual site-specific task order(s). The Contractor shall transcribe directly into an automated information system and return the finished product to the MTF as prescribed by the MTF protocol in the site-specific task order(s). The Contractor shall use compatible software that enables the Contractor to transcribe directly into the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) electronically from the Contractor's facility to the MTF if required by the individual task order(s). The services performed under this requirement can only be performed within the United States. No "off-shoring" of this requirement is permitted. Transcription services will be performed within the United States by U.S. citizens. The proposed procurement is being processed as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed procurement is being processed as a Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation is anticipated to result in a single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm-Fixed Price contract. Specific requirements will be awarded via task orders. The procurement will be issued in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures, with an estimated 4,500,000 lines of transcription per year. There will be a base period plus four one-year option periods. The anticipated Period of Performance is 01 October 2010 through 30 September 2011 with four one-year options ending 30 September 2015. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release to https://www.neco.navy.mil. The applicable NAICS code is 561410.
