Description
RECOVERY - Renovate Building 16A, NIH Bethesda This is a Notice of Intent to award a task order under the 8(a) Multiple Award Contract, Reference Solicitation No. NIHOF2008054. This task order will be awarded in accordance with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE IDIQ MULTIPLE AWARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATIONS, AND REHABILITATION OF VARIOUS FACILITIES - THE REFERENCED SOLICITATION FOR THE MULTIPLE AWARD IDIQ COMPETITION WAS "NIHOF2008054." A Request for Proposal will only be sent to the four (4) vendors identified under this Multiple Award IDIQ Contract (Paige Industrial Services, Olgoonik Management Services, G. Bailey Company Inc., and FEMCO, Inc). A task order will be issued to the winner of the task order competition to "Renovate Building 16A", NIH Bethesda. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK (WORK REQUEST No.HCV60040): The contractor shall perform all construction services stated within the task order SOW for the work to be performed in Bethesda Campus, Building16A. The task order is to provide renovation services in building 16A, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. The construction shall be performed based on the contract drawings and specification. Construction shall comply with all applicable Local, State, Federal, NIH Guidelines, codes, standards and requirements with the most stringent to control. The general types of work will be the renovation of building interior for use as an office building with conference facilities. Upgrade electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems as needed for compliance with NIH policy and all applicable codes and standards. Project requirements to include tie in to NIH central utilities, modifications to meet accessibility requirements, improvements to building envelope, and interior fit out. In addition, this project is a registered LEED project with USGBC. Contractor shall incorporate all elements of LEED requirements in the construction scope. Per FAR 36.204 the magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
