Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This is a synopsis for a commercial item procurement of the following: Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) Turret Unit Shipping and Storage Containers manufactured in accordance with the following drawings: 85000000-1, Rev C for MTS-A System. CLIN 0001 Min 5 ea. Max 1575 ea 3717AS100, Rev C for MTS-A System (Navy Configuration) CLIN 0002 Min 0 ea. Max 450 ea 85000152-1, Rev G for MTS-B System CLIN 0003 Min 0 ea. Max 225 ea. These Containers will be used by numerous aircraft programs which utilize the MTS. The Containers are anticipated to be procured utilizing FAR Part 12, 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price related factors, with past performance being somewhat more important than price. Delivery required FOB Destination to Crane, IN; 150 days from the date of Award. This will be a firm fixed price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 332439 and the size standard is 500 employees, Federal Supply Class 8145. The solicitation will be available on or about 08 FEB 2010 at the following address as well as the address above: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the web sites for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For Changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. "No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed". Interested sources must download from the www site. Reference the above solicitation number when responding to this notice.
