- This notice has been issued as a FULL AND OPEN procurement; open to all businesses regardless of size. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990. The Product Service Codes is Y299. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hurricane Protection Office (HPO) is seeking firms for the requirement entitled HPO, LPV 109.02b, I-10 Crossing, New Orleans East Levee Enlargement, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. Work includes raising the existing I-10 interstate highway ramp to a higher elevation and enlarging the existing adjacent levee. New work includes raising the existing 6 lane (3 west bound and 3 east bound) I-10 interstate earth ramp, enlarging approximately 360 feet of existing levee, construction of temporary detour roads, construction and removal of 400 feet long temporary bridge over Irish Bayou Lagoon. Work also includes asphaltic pavement, installation of wick drains, steel piling, and construction of concrete and steel bridge structure. The contractor will be required to meet all LADOTD requirements for construction specific to the roadway. This will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation that will result in one (1) firm-fixed price construction contract to the responsible contractor whose bid meets the requirements and is responsive to the solicitation. The estimated magnitude of the construction project cost is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The solicitation, bid instructions, and bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation notice and package. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about February 19, 2010 on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests, for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors must register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov/ in order to receive notification(s) and/or change(s) to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site. Prospective contractors who would like their company name included on the IVL list may do so on the Fedbizopps website under IVL. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading a copy of the solicitation package. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive a contract award.
