- RECOVERY: SHOSHONE PARK PICNIC AREA WATER SYSTEM THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT. The Forest Service has a requirement for installation of a submersible pump and controls for a water system at the Shoshone Park Picnic Area in the Panhandle National Forest near Coeur d’Alene, ID. The services required are for furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary for the installation of a the Water System. No pre-quote site visit will be conducted but offerors are encouraged to visit the site. Offerors are also encouraged to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. For additional information regarding the site, contact Jayme Berard at 208-769-3034. The project cost estimate is less than $25,000. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. The total performance period is 30 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that the notice to proceed will be issued around June 1, 2010. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on part of the offeror will render a bid ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. The NAICS code is 237110, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million in gross annual receipts. This contract action will be set aside for emerging small businesses IAW FAR Part 19.1007(c)(1). The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on or about February 22, 2010 with an anticipated closing date of March 24, 2010. Copies of the Request for Quote, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance. ARRA Requirement: The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Funds under the awarded contract.
