Description
Small Business Sources Sought Notice RE: FDA-1069262 This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under NAICS code 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance; Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 million should not submit a response to this notice. Background NCTR currently has ten lift trucks that require continued maintenance in order to provide continuous service in and around the facility. Purpose and Objectives Preventive maintenance shall be performed 6 times a year, bimonthly on the facilities forklifts/trucks. Project Requirements Preventive Maintenance shall be performed on Caterpillar, Hyster, Nissan, Gradall (skylift), and Yale motorized forklifts; Yale electric forklifts; and one Case backhoe. Services are to include the following: A. Check power steering and differential oil level B. Check hydraulic system C. Inspection upright rail pattern and chains D. Operational check on brakes, horn, etc. E. Visual Inspection of tires, oil leaks, chains, etc. F. Check ignition wires G. Check distributor caps, rotor, points and lubricate cam H. Inspect brake master cylinders, rod ends, anchors for proper alignment I. Blow out radiator core J. Clean grease fittings and replace filters K. Clean air filters, inspect all hoses and connections L. Check radiator coolant levels, fan belts, blades and connections M. Check all battery, fill, and clean all terminals Anticipated period of performance The period of performance shall consist of a 1-Year Base Period with four 1-Year Options. Capability Respondents must provide, as part of their responses, a capability statement, and the following information: 1. Information Regarding (a) staff expertise, including their availability, experience, and formal and other training (b) current on-site and in-house capability and capacity to perform the work (c) current and/or prior completed projects of similar nature (d) current and/or prior completed Government contracts 2. DUNS & TIN number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, etc) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code. All requested information should be provided in writing referencing FDA-1069262 and delivered to the attention of Howard Nesmith via facsimile to 870-543-7990 or e-mailed to howard.nesmith@fda.hhs.gov by 3 PM (Central Standard Time, Jefferson, AR on February 11, 2010. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
