Description
Award was made to five 8(a) contractors for this Multiple Award Contract. The Contractors shall provide project execution, logistic support services to the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC). The emphasis of the required support will be for fabrication, assembly, installation, inspection, repair, maintenance and field supervision/operation of waterfront barriers, associated moorings, waterfront security systems, and marine facilities throughout the world. This support may be required in the form of a very limited effort for small system requirements at a particular site or for complete contractor-provided project management and installation services. The support will be provided primarily to the waterfront security barrier, moorings and waterfront security system product lines of the Amphibious Systems Division (EX-31) and Ocean Construction Division (OP-55) of the NFESC. Typical project execution services could include installation or repair of waterfront security barriers, associated moorings, and underwater security and response systems both surface and sub-surface. Typical logistics support requirements could include fabrication of mooring or barrier components. Development and management of databases to track waterfront security system components may be required. Engineering and design services to support waterfront security system development and installation will be required as well as prototyping and testing of improved system and ancillary components. Requirement is for a base year with up to four one-year options. Anticipated award of up to five (5) contracts from the solicitation to qualified 8(a) companies. Fair opportunity to compete for all task orders only to awardees. Contract type is a combination of a Cost-Plus Fixed-Fee and Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract.
