Description
E-Gov SIMSS Request for Quotation (RFQ) BACKGROUND The General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service, Office of Travel, Motor Vehicle and Card Services, Office of Travel and Transportation Services (T&T), continues to implement the E-Gov Travel Service and provide related improvements to various travel and transportation programs and services. The purpose of this contract is to obtain strategic initiatives management support services for the next generation of E-Gov Travel. PURPOSE The Obama Administration is encouraging Agencies to adopt an "Open Innovation Strategy" to solve complex business problems. The goal for the following E-Gov Travel Service (ETS) effort is to enhance business travel for the Government traveler and reduce the administrative and cost overhead burdens associated with the service. As a continuing part of our market research effort for developing solutions to the follow on contract for ETS, we wish to implement an Open Innovation Strategy. The outcome of this effort would shorten innovation cycles, involve our customers, introduce out-of-the-box thinking (or challenge the ‘dominant logic’), increase customer loyalty, and get access to exclusive knowledge and creativity. Open Innovation has hyping potential because Open Innovation activities serve the organization in several ways: (1) it leads to new innovations, (2) it represents the company and its proposition to the outside world, (3) it empowers internal resources, and (4) it fulfills the increasing need that end users have on the services paid for. Scope The GSA requires strategic initiatives management support services using an open innovation strategy. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, resources, management, and oversight to accomplish the effort herein.
