Description
RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for construction of a replacement Roof system for Building 45 and the repair of roof systems of buildings 12 and 24 at the Lincoln Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System and other specific tasks as further defined by the specifications. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings for "Replace/Repair Roofs for Buildings 12, 24 and 45" project number 636-07-310ES at the Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Lincoln VAMC, 600 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE, 68510 and all applicable codes and standards. Solicitation Number VA-263-10-RA-0097 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about February 23, 2010. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held during the week of March 1 - March 5, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on April 2, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
