Description
RECOVERY - This requirement is for a Forest Wide Trail Maintenance contract for the Bitterroot National Forest. The contractor shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, mobilization, tools, supplies (i.e. water, etc), permits, licenses, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform trail maintenance on OHV and single track trails (wilderness and non-wildersness), for which the desired outcome is in strict accordance with the standards attached to each Task Order. Maintenance may include significantly higher than normal work loads due to naturally occurring events such as, avalanche, windthrown trees and fire affects. Maintenance workloads may also be significantly higher than normal due to lack of maintenance in recent past. There will not be a heavy logout bid item included in this effort. This project is located on the Bitterroot National Forest, in Ravalli County, Montana. the trails are located throughout the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana. The work involves performing Trail Maintenance throughout the Montana portion of the Bitterroot National Forest. The work will include 'logging out' the ORIGINAL TRAIL CLEARING LIMITS of downed or leaning trees, removing loose roocks and woody debris that have entered the original trial tread; and cleaning all existing drainage structures (to original design) since the last maintenance period. It is estimated that this work will begin June 1, 2010 and June 1, 2011 and shall run for 100 days per year. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. THE ANITICIPATED ISSUE DATE FOR THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WITH ALL SPECIFICATIONS IS 23 FEBRUARY 2010.
