- This is for informational purposes only. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Indoor Biotechnologies, Inc., Charlottesville, VA for laboratory testing of dust for 9 allergens. Allergen analysis of dust extracts, prepared by the Pulmonary Toxicology Facility at the University of Iowa is currently performed by the Immunoassay Group at Indoor Biotechnologies, Inc. using Multiplex Array for Indoor Allergens (MARIA). Minimum vendor qualifications are as follows : Vendor shall have an MD or PhD in charge of the allergen dust testing; vendor must have at least 10 years of experience with the assay as evidenced by peer reviewed publications in the scientific literature using the MARIA technology; vendor must have published in the peer reviewed literature the conditions of the assays; vendor shall be established in the field of allergen dust testing; MARIA technology development must have been supported by NIEHS Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award; and vendor must hold exclusive licenses for its monoclonal antibodies through the University of Virginia Patent Foundation and is the only current Luminex Strategic Partner in the field of allergen detection. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.320-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies are services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS Code is 541380. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information furnished shall include enough detail information to allow the government to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. Responses by Facsimile (Fax) will not be accepted. All vendors/prospective contractors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration (www.ccr.gov) prior to award date.
