- The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Afghanistan/Office of Acquisition & Assistance in conjunction with the USAID/Afghanistan Office of Program and Project Development (OPPD) intends to award a contract by August 2010 for Services Under Program and Project Office for Results Tracking Phase II (SUPPORT II). You are invited to submit a proposal in accordance with the requirements of this RFP. This procurement will be conducted through full and open competition, under which any type of organization (U.S. based or international (935 Source Origin Code countries only) large or small commercial [for profit] firms, educational institutions, or non-profit organizations) are eligible to compete. The current SUPPORT service provider is Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. To eliminate any potential conflicts of interest, this solicitation has been fully designed and released without any participation or inputs from the incumbent provider. The original SUPPORT Project is now in its fourth year of implementation. The main objective of this SUPPORT program is to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of USAID/Afghanistan’s programs, as well as to improve the information and reporting mechanisms, products and systems. The purpose of SUPPORT II is to execute a host of services to improve the efficiency of programs implemented by the Mission’s Technical Offices. These services include activity/project designs, assessments, evaluations, management information and reporting, mapping, translation and interpretation services. In addition, technical assistance is to be provided to the Office of Program and Project Development (OPPD) to collect and disseminate public information, enhance the quality of data, and develop web content. Logistical support for USAID and Implementing Partners to hold conferences, meetings, and workshops is also provided through SUPPORT.
