- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) at Orlando, FL, has a requirement for “Turn-Key” Fire Fighting and Damage Control courses in the Seattle, WA. Fleet Concentration Area (FCA) in support of the Naval Education Training Command (NETC) under the coordination and direction of the Center for Naval Engineering (CNE) at Norfolk, VA. The overall objective is to provide training support, instructional services, a training facility and material support to conduct Navy training courses for Navy personnel in the PACNORWEST FCA. The requirement will be procured under a five year single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, beginning approximately June 2010. The contract will be awarded to an offeror capable of providing the required fully qualified instructors, “live-fire” fire fighting and damage control facility and material support for the instruction of Navy courses at the appropriate manning level to conduct training of Navy personnel described in the SOW that includes instruction of the course/content, remediation/testing assistance for students of on-site classrooms. Navy course curriculums will be provided to the contractor instructors for their preparation, planning and presentation of the instruction. The courses will include: General Shipboard Damage Control Training, Advanced Shipboard Fire Fighting, General Shipboard Fire Fighting Training-Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Shipboard Firefighting Integrated Team Training, Repair Locker Leader, Gas Free Engineering and Gas Free Engineering Petty Officer for Surface (Afloat) Operations, and Watertight Closures Inspection, maintenance, and Repair. The courses shall be taught to the specified enabling and terminal objectives and the specified completion criteria identified within each course’s learning objectives. NAWCTSD Orlando seeks to competitively award this contract on a Full and Open Competitive basis. Selection of the contractor will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process (FAR 15.101-2). Specific details will be provided in the formal RFP N61339-10-R-0017, which will be posted on the World Wide Web at “http://nawctsd.navair.navy.mil/EBusiness/BusOps/Index.cfm” (click on Open Acquisitions) in March 2010.
