Description

Sole Source Letter for General Dynamics Radios Luke AFB proposes to award a sole-source contract to General Dynamics, C4 Systems for the following items in support of the 56 Communications Squadron, Luke AFB, AZ: Qty 2, CM-300 VDR, VHF Receiver Assembly, General Dynamics P/N 01-P40300G001; Qty 2, CM-VR-144, 144 MHz enhancement for CM-300 VDR, General Dynamics P/N 01-P46643H001; Qty 2, CM-350 VDT, VHF 50 Watt Transmitter Assembly, General Dynamics P/N 01-P40350G001; Qty 3, CM-VT-144, 144 MHz enhancement for CM-350 VDT, General Dynamics P/N 01-P46642H001; Qty 1, CM-300 VDT, VHF 10 Watt Transmitter Assembly, General Dynamics P/N 01-P58698G001; Qty 2, CM-300/350 MDT Software CD, Maintenance Data Terminal Software, General Dynamics P/N 99-P40681G; Qty 5, CM-300/350 Interface Cable, Remote Access Cable, General Dynamics P/N 30-P40237G001. The General Dynamics' radios were selected on the recommendations of the Lead Engineer, Radio and Force Protection, based on their FAA Approval for Air Traffic Control and high reliability (fielded MTBF 400,000 hours, Rated MTBF 26,280 hours). These specific items integrate with the existing FAA architecture which is an essential minimum requirement.
