- NOTE: Synopsis is hereby ammended to remove the small business set-aside from the pending solicitation. This opportunity shall be available to all business sizes. Closing date of the solicitation, once issued shall be April 7, 2010 at 2:00pm. A public bid opening will be offered at that time. See Section L of the solicitation documents for information regarding the address as to where to submit a bid for this opportunity. Pre-bid site visit date and time is ammended to read March 8, 2010 at 2:00pm. Interested parties wishing to offer on this opportunity are strongly encouraged to attend. The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2-Southwest, is preparing to issue a solicitation Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 20181AB500 on or about February 17, 2010 for the construction of a visitor contact station and restroom at the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Anahuac, Chambers County, Texas. Minimum specifications for this requirement shall be outlined within the specifications section of the solicitation documents, once issued, and shall include, but is not limited to, the complete construction of an approximately 1020 square foot reinforced concrete and precast concrete visitor contact station above flood elevation, steel framed with ramp and concrete entrance plaza. The project will be inclusive of utilities, site preparation, and construction of a 432 square foot reinforced concrete and precast concrete restroom. The project location is the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Anahuac, Chambers County, Texas. The North American Industry Classification Code for this Requirement is: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Product Service Code is:Y119, Construct All other Admin and Service Buildings. The small business size standard is $33.5M. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 36.204, the estimated project magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A pre-bid site visit will be offered on March 8, 2010 at 2:00pm at the project location. Instructions and directions for attending the the pre-bid site visit will be set forth within the solicitation documents. An offer guarantee in the amount of 20% of the offerors bid price will be required when responding to the solicitation, once issued. Payment and performance bonding equal to 100% of the awarded contract price will be required within 15 calendar days of the contract award date. When posted, the statement of work and specifications, along with any related documents, will be available for download via the National Business Center (NBC) website at: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp.
