Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Army Contracting Command, National Capital Region Contracting Center, (formerly ITEC4), on behalf of the U.S. Army, Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems, intends to solicit competitive proposals for the Enterprise Messaging and Collaboration Services (EMCS), a five year, single-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price, performance based service contract. The EMCS, as part of the Armys Global Network Enterprise Construct (GNEC), will centralize a select group of current generating force NIPRNet Microsoft Exchange email user accounts (up to 230,000) and associated mobile solutions into a single, commercially-managed, enterprise-based environment. The Army is seeking experienced contractors capable of providing the migration of services from various installations in the Continental United States (CONUS) to a centralized managed service environment in addition to having a successful track record in performing work of similar size and scope. The Army anticipates releasing a Draft RFP for Industry Comments/Questions in early March 2010 and holding an Industry Day on or before 24 March 2010. Additional details shall be forthcoming through the ASFI website. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AS QUESTIONS WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE ASFI WEBSITE FOR ANY UPDATES/CHANGES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT NOTIFY OR RESPOND TO INDIVIDUAL INQUIRIES.
