Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality(JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Research/Sources Sought Notice to locate firms capable of providing sensors and instrumentation products configured to meet end user necessities and requirments during efficient testing of Research & Development application components. The requirement for innovative products and technologies necessitates the development of components with increased stability and failure resistance. Both current and future Army weapon systems that employ large caliber cannons will benefit from weapon systems utilizing the latest advancements in technology. These new initiatives have placed additional demand for suppliers who can provide materials, tooling, and testing devices for medium and large caliber weapons systems. To maintain demanding R&D program schedules and production deliveries, qualified vendors must be readily available for material and service acquisition relating to materials, tooling, and measurement instrumentation. Products should include but are not limited to; mounts, accelerometers, strain gauges, strain measurement system components, and load cells. The procured equipment is used in such programs as base plate testing to ensure there are no defections during manufacturing that could cause premature failure and potentially harm to Army personnel. This synopsis is open to all business concerns, however, in accordance with FAR 19.501 our intent is to establish BPAs with Small Businesses. The period of performance for these BPAs will be five (5) years from date of award. In the event there arent enough responses from responsible, capable Small Businesses, then Large Business responses will be accepted.
