Description
This is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB) nor Request for Proposal (RFP). Under PL 98-369 (CICA) this Sourced Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify suppliers for the repair of the Paladin Digital Fire Control System components. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the service or manufacturer meets the qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. The solicitation will be issued electronically, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. This Sources Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify additional suppliers for the repair of the following items currently being procured non-competitively: Keypad Unit w/ container P/N 12999112, NSN 7025-01-524-8671 Paladin Digital Computer Unit w/ container P/N 12999106, NSN 7010-01-524-8672 Power Conditioning Unit-2 w/ container P/N 12999108, NSN 6130-01-524-8673 Please note that in some cases, technical data may not be available. Interested contractors should download via the Internet the Source Approval information Booklet located on the TACOM Acquisition Web Page at: http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/ssn/sources.htm, or send a written request to Mail Stop 309, Source Development, Warren, MI 48397-5000.
