Description

Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to Repair and Repaint Water Tower, B-136 at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, 1700 E 38th street, Marion, IN 46953. The project is to clean, repair, and repaint the 300,000 gallon water tower at the VA NIHCS, Marion, IN. Work includes but is not limited to the following: abrasive blast clean the tank's exterior and recoat with a four coat polyurethane system; install a float type cathodic protection system in the interior; abrasive blast clean and paint the pit piping; seal the foundation surfaces; regrout areas of missing grout; replace the overflow pipe; install railing; install safety grabs; replace sidewall ladder; install manway; replace the roof hatch; replace the roof vent, and install a new wet interior ladder with fall prevention. Water tank information: Capacity: 300,000 gallons; Diameter: 43'0", Legs: 6 each - 30" diameter; Riser: 5'0" in diameter; height to high water line 128'0". Estimated construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Applicable NAICS is 236320 and $14 million applies. This project is not set-aside. Completion time is 60 days from date of receipt of notice to proceed. Solicitation will be available on or about March 5, 2010. Bid opening is scheduled for April 6, 2010.
