Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION VA262-10-SFO-0146 "VA LB Veterans Village Recovery Center" The VA currently occupies approximately 5,902 net usable square feet of space at 2090 River Road in Long Beach, California as a Veterans Village Recovery Center. The lease expires on May 31, 2010. VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must be on no more than one floor, and provide approximately 5,902 NUSF of space. On-site parking for a minimum of 24 vehicles is required. A lease for up to 10 years will be considered. Occupancy required by June 1, 2010. To be considered, space must be within or bordering a delineated area as follows: South - W. Willow Street East - Terminal Island Freeway (103) North - Pacific Coast Highway (1) West - Long Beach Freeway (710) Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should request a copy of the complete solicitation and respond by the closing date. Offerors must respond to the SFO and submit 2 copies of specific information required in the SFO to Sun Han/Alan Trinh by mail or e-mail. The closing date is March 23, 2010, 2:00 P.M., at the following address: Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office ATTN: Sun Han/Alan Trinh 5901 E. 7th Street, Bldg. 149 Long Beach, CA 90822 Telephone: 562-826-5534 E-Mail: sun.han@va.gov Net usable square feet does not include such areas as stairs, elevators, mechanical and utility rooms, ducts, shafts, vestibules and public corridors, and public toilets required by local code. The Government is limited by law (41 C.F.R. 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT.
