Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is a sole source acquisition issued pursuant the Small Business Administrations 8(a) program. The contractor will provide all equipment, materials, and labor required to repair Herbert Hoover Dike Culverts C-5 and C-5A. Prior to repair of each culvert, dewater the culvert using aluminum needles provided by the Government. The contractor shall not dewater more than one culvert structure (C-5 or C-5A) at a time; however, the Contractor may dewater all three barrels of each culvert structure. Aluminum needles are 2, 3, and 4 feet wide by 29 feet high by 10 inches deep. Repairs are divided into types as follows: Type 1; perform headwall-barrel joint separations repair at all headwalls. Type 2; perform longitudinal barrel joint repair by installing corrugated metal pipe at joints away from the headwall which need repair. Type 3; install corrugated metal pipe against headwalls at the center barrel lakeside headwall of Culvert 5 and center barrel landside headwall of Culvert 5A. Type 4; repair concrete where reinforcement is exposed at lakeside center barrel of Culvert 5A. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS Code is 237990 and the size standard is $33.5 Million Dollars.
