Description
This is a sources sought notice. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking interested and qualified vendors to solicit for an award of a Firm-Fixed Price Contract to acquire semi-annual preventive maintenance tasks and respond to emergency service requests on (7) non-lethal/lethal (NLL) electrified fence systems, located at the following United States Penitentiaries (USP's): Coleman I, Coleman, Florida; Coleman II, Coleman, Florida; Tucson, Tucson, Arizona; Terre Haute, Terre Haute, Indiana; McCreary, McCreary, Kentucky; Pollock, Pollock, Louisiana; and Hazelton, Hazelton, West Virginia. The NLL electrified fence is a perimeter detection/deterrent system surrounding the respective institution's perimeter. The perimeter length at each facility is approximately 5000' The system's fence structure is located between (2) 12' high chain link fences. The fence structure consists of (28) galvanized conductors mounted on galvanized fence posts with plastic insulators. The fence structure is 13' high and is flanked by (2) concrete sidewalks. To gain access to the NLL electrified fence, a safety shut down sequence must be activated. Energy is supplied to the electrified fence structure via individual high voltage DC energizers. The energizers are located in a secure, accessible area. There are approximately (26) energizers per system, (1) for each zone. Individual zone lengths are approximately 300 feet. The energizers are manufactured by Zareba Systems, Inc., 906 Fifth Avenue E, Ellendale, MN 56026, (507) 684-3721. The associated NAICS code is 811310 - Electrical generating and transmission Equipment repair and maintenance services. The contract period will be for (1) base year with an additional (4) renewable option years. This request is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
