Circuit SCOPE OF WORK Replace Room 5205 A, C, D Base, Mold, and Trim Scope: 1. Remove any existing base and shoe mold from Rooms 5205, 5205A, 5205C, and 5205D and replace it with new. Attached are drawings showing the work locations, a sketch with profiles of the base and shoe mold, and pictures that illustrate the existing conditions. 2. Provide new horizontal trim at the top of all columns in Room 5205D, where the columns meet the ceiling and bulkhead. Reference the attached photos of the existing conditions in this room and a photo of another similar condition in Room 3205 that already has the trim installed. 3. Remove all aluminum bookshelf reference holders on the columns and patch the holes left behind. 4. Remove the speakers and patch holes left behind. 5. Remove the existing trim in Room 5205 and leave. (New trim may be installed at a later date when the new ceiling is installed.) 6. Wrap the drywall column enclosure in Room 5205D with millwork that matches the adjacent panelwork. 7. Patch the large openings on the north wall of Room 5205D. 8. Refinish or clean all panelwork in Rooms 5205, 5205C, and 5205D and blend locations where bookshelves attached to the north wall of Room 5205D were recently removed. (The scope of this item will be refined further during the preproposal meeting, based upon contractor input.) 9. Clean all bookshelves in Rooms 5205, 5205C and 5205D. Terms: 1. Work shall be done during normal working hours of Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Coordinate the timing with Scott Ellermets. 2. Contractor to submit name, date of birth and social security of all workers one week in advance of work start for USMS background check. Not applicable to workers who have already been cleared to work in the building in the preceding six months. 3. The contractor shall take care to protect new carpet and ceilings. A laydown area may be provided in adjacent Room 5205B. If used the floor shall be completely covered with a protective material that is to be approved by the courts, such as sheets of masonite taped together. 4. A preproposal walk is scheduled for 3/17/10. Interested parties should meet at the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse, 333 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 at the Constitution Avenue Entrance at 10:00 a.m. Camera and camera phones are not allowed inside the courthouse but photos of items of interest can be provided. 4.
