- Sources Sought for a Laboratory Gas Provider - NAICS Code 325120. (1) This s a Market Survey conducted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 5, 77 W. Jackson Blvd. (MCC-10J), Chicago IL 60604 (USEPA). This request is for information only. Your response is not an offer, and does not commit the Government to pay any cost incurred in preparation of any submission to this Market Survey, or to a future contract for services. (2) USEPA requests information regarding the availability of commercial sources to provide laboratory gas supply and delivery services for the US EPA Chicago Regional Laboratory, 536 S. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60605. The following requirements are anticipated: A. Ability to fulfill orders for laboratory gases, liquefied and compressed, in cylinders 9 inches in diameter and 55 inches in height, including: • Helium, Ultra Hi Purity (UHP), 99.999% • Helium, chromatographic grade, 99.9999% • Nitrogen, UHP, 99.999% • Oxygen, UHP, 99.999% • Argon, UHP, 99.999% • Hydrogen, chromatographic grade, 99.9999% • Air, Dry, less than 6 ppm (parts per million) water • Argon, 95%, hydrogen 5% purity 99.996%, oxygen less than 5ppm, nitrogen less than 50 ppm, water less than 4 ppm B. Ability to fulfill orders of laboratory gases in large cylinders, including: • Large Cylinders - argon, 180 liter tank, 99.999% purity • MicroBulk Tank, 240 liters; liquefied gas fill: o Argon, two (2) micro-bulk containers o Nitrogen, four (4) micro-bulk containers C. Ability to fulfill orders within three (3) working days of order and within one (1) working day of an emergency order. D. Ability to receive orders via telephone, e-mail and facsimile. E. Ability to provide a monthly report and/or at the request of the US EPA, with the following information: • Cylinder serial number • Order Dates • Types of Gas • Cylinder Deliver Date • Return date. (3) Anticipated start date: May 1, 2010. (4) Interested parties must provide the following information: A. Company name. B. Contact information, including telephone number, fax number, mailing address, and an email address. C. Brief statement of Corporation Profile. D. Firm demonstration of past performance for comparable or similar tasks as listed above. E. Any pertinent questions or comments.
