- Description
- The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement plans to issue a Best Value Request for Proposalfor award of a firm fixed price contract for the procurement of necessary labor,equipment, and materials required to execute a project to replace cryogenic transferpiping at rocket propulsion test stand A-2 located at Stennis Space Center (SSC),Mississippi. This procurement includes American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)requirements which will be clearly identified in the solicitation. The materials andinstallation shall be provided in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Thiseffort shall be completed within 150 days after contract award and prior to September 30,2010. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness DemonstrationProgram. As a result, all qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal, whichshall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code and small business size standard forthis procurement are 237110 and $33.5million, respectively. The anticipated release dateof the RFP is on or about Mar 26, 2010, with an anticipated proposal due date of on orabout April 26, 2010. The firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. Past Performance information will be required ten (10) days prior to the due date. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Further information will be provided in the RFP. An ombudsman has been appointed -- SeeNASA Specific Note 'B'. The RFP and related documents [with the exception of thespecifications and drawings] will only be issued electronically and will be available viathe internet. These documents may be accessed and downloaded at the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service (NAIS) Business Opportunities website @http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/nais/link_syp.cgi or at the Federal BusinessOpportunities (FedBizOpps) website @ http://www.fbo.gov. Offerors unable to access theRFP at this address may contact the Contracting Office for assistance.Specificationsand Drawings will only be made available on CDROM.
