- Description
- The U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) in Natick, MA is looking for local contracting organizations to provide ad hoc as well as ongoing research support. USARIEM is interested in contracting with an organization that can offer all of the following services on a one to two month notice: 1.Epidemiologic study design using existing administrative data, including the development of study protocols and supporting documentation that is compliant with regulatory obligations associated with human subjects research. This work can be done off-site from USARIEM. 2.Biostatistics; developing predictive models using existing administrative data. This work can be done off-site from USARIEM. 3.Data management of existing administrative data using Statistical Analysis Software from SAS, Inc. This work must be done on-site at USARIEM. 4.Development of data documentation to promote data use agreement development and data stewardship, including preparing data use agreements, data dictionaries, decision trees, schema diagrams, and related documentation. This work can be done off-site from USARIEM. 5.Development of research protocols, reports, presentations and manuscripts published in the peer-reviewed scientific literature. Please also note the following parameters: 1.Individuals from the contracting organization assigned to USARIEM projects must be able to travel in less than two hours to USARIEM in Natick, MA for occasional project meetings. 2.Individuals from the contracting organization must be current US citizens at the time of contracting. 3.For on-site data management, contractor must have at least Secret clearance which can be obtained through assignment at USARIEM. Of off-site projects, no clearance is required. 4.Contracting organization must have the ability to assign contractors to USARIEM projects who have experience doing epidemiology on military populations. 5.Contracting organization may set up an agreement to use USARIEMs Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects. 6.Contracting organization must have the ability to assign contractors to USARIEM projects who have experience conducting epidemiologic analysis on the Active Duty Army using the following administrative datasets: datasets from the Defense Manpower Data Center (such as Master Personnel and Transaction, Casualty, and Contingency Tracking System) and clinical encounter datasets (SIDR, SADR, HCSR/TED-I, HCSR/TED-NI). 7.Contracting organizations with experience with USARIEMs data repository, the TAIHOD, are preferred
