- This notice is for Recovery Act Solicitation No. VA-243-10-RA-0227- Project No. 630A4-09-406, Renovate Radiology at the VA Medical Center Brooklyn, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $33.5.0 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: Partial renovation of the Third Floor of the VAMC Brooklyn to renovate part of the existing Radiology department area: Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, general construction, millwork, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work as shown on contract drawings and specifications; Construction Phasing: Special construction phasing requirements will apply as shown in detail on the Drawings. Work in each phase must be completed prior to the commencement of the following phase. All work required to occur in occupied areas shall be scheduled in advance with the COTR and be performed after hours at no additional charge. Generally, phasing shall be as follows: Phase One: Install temporary power, data and cooling in future Conference Room 3-105. Also install the new floor, ceiling and paint the walls; Install temporary partition separating future Holding Room into temporary Lounge/Locker room and temporary Office area, and install temporary power and data; Temporarily relocate (4) PACS workstations into future Conference Room 3-105; Temporarily relocate Staff Lounge, Locker into half of future Holding Room; Temporarily relocate Multi-Purpose Room 3-101 and Office 3-200B into half of future Holding Room; Phase Two: Renovate Consult 3-100, Reading Room 3-101, Bath 3-101A, Lounge 3-102, Bath 3-102A, Women's Locker 3-102B and Men's Locker 3-102C; Renovate Office 3-200 and Toilet 3-200A); Phase Three: Temporarily finish new Conference Room 3-105; Temporarily relocate Offices 3-103, 3-103A and 3-104 into renovated Office 3-200, and temporarily finished new Conference Room 3-105; Renovate new Offices 3-103, 3-103A, 3-104, and Toilets 3-103B and 3-104A; Renovate new Holding Room 3-526 and Office 3-527; Phase Four: Complete renovate new Conference Room 3-105, repairing any new finishes as required by interim occupancies. Completion Time 210 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about April 3, 2010. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and www.orca.bpn.gov. End of Description
