- Description
- The Navy Clothing & Textile Research Facility is seeking sources of 100% Cotton Duck Cloth, Commercial Designation Numbers 1 and 6. The cloth shall be made from unbleached, 100% cotton, using plied yarns. The performance characteristics should be equal to or better than the requirements specified in Military Specification CCC-C-419G for Number 6, hard texture, Type I OR Number 1, hard texture, Type I. This fabric is to be used for the visor of Military Specification MIL-H-29101B, Hood, Extreme Cold Weather. This Sources sought notice is subject to the Berry Amendment, 10 USC 2533a. Manufacturers who believe they have product(s) capable of meeting the above specification are requested to contact Patrick Gouveia at (508) 233-4119, x114 or via Email at pgouveia@nctrf.natick.army.mil by 30 March 2010 to schedule an appointment at NCTRF to present product information such as sample yardage, productliterature, company brochures, places of manufacture and other relevant information. All the aforementioned material may also be mailed to Navy Clothing & Textile Research Facility, Attn: P. Gouveia, Warehouse 20-86, Kansas Street, Natick, MA 01760, or submitted via email to pgouveia@nctrf.natick.army.mil, no later than 30 March 2010. Submitted information and materials will not be returned. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for proposal or quotation. No solicitation document exists. This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure these items, nor does the US Navy intend to award on the basis of the Sources Sought Notice or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement payment of direct or indirect cost or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submissions of responses to this request for information and Government use of such information.
