Description
Work Statement: Objective: Run single-mode fiber from Bldg. 1066 to Bldg. 1050 and patch into the campus fiber backbone, thereby bypassing the switch so that the labs can continue to work during power outages. 1) Work is to begin on approx. 3/29/10 and be completed by 4/12/10, or within two weeks from agreed upon start date at the National Cancer Institute on Fort Detrick in Frederick Maryland. 2) Site visit will be held on 3/16/10 at 10:00am, please contact Andrea Turner by email to schedule. Only contractors that have made a site visit will be considered. 3) Must provide Certificate of Insurance with proposal as specified in number 19 of the SAIC-Frederick's Terms and Conditions which apply to this order. Link is attached. http://web.ncifcrf.gov/campus/als/vendors/info.asp Any proposal submitted agrees to the SAIC-Frederick Terms and Conditions. 4) Offeror must self-certify in the Central Contractor Registration, https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx, to be eligible for an award. 5) Offeror will complete the representations and certifications in ORCA, https://orca.bpn.gov, to be eligible for an award. 6) Onsite Services. For services performed onsite, the Contractor must complete and submit the National Institutes of Health Extended Visitor ID Badge Application Form, which will be sent to the successful offeror with the award. Complete and submit this form in order to receive access credentials for each employee. In addition, it is your responsibility to forward this requirement to any third party service provider utilized to fulfill our agreements. 7) Installation and Materials: a. install 12/12 hybrid fiber from 1066 to 1050 Aerial-Existing Path b. install 12/12 hybrid fiber IN 2" EMT inside 1066 c. install 12/12 hybrid fiber thru ceiling at 1050 d. install fiber shelf and feed throughs e. install fiber breakout kits f. terminate SM fibers in each bldg. with LC connectors g. label fiber cable and fiber shelves h. test fibers
