Description
STATEMENT OF WORK 1.0 Scope INSCOM will conduct a Strong Bonds marriage program on 25-26 March 2010 in order to support Soldiers and DA civilians of the INSCOM community. 2.0 Background As members of the worlds premier fighting force, Army Soldiers sacrifice for our country every day, and so do their loved ones. Military life places extreme hardship on relationships, especially in wartime, so the Army backed by Congress -has committed unprecedented resources to help Soldiers build stronger relationships through the Strong Bonds Program. Strong Bonds has specialized programs for single Soldiers, couples and families. Those Soldiers being deployed or redeployed can also learn special coping tactics. Strong Bonds empowers Soldiers and their loved ones with relationship-building skills, and connects them to community health and support resources. It is a holistic, preventative program committed to the restoration and preservation of Army families, even those near crisis. The program is initiated and led by the Army Chaplains. More than 90% of those who have attended the program rate it positively. 3.0 Work to be performed Break out of the description of services requested and quantity: 28 hotel rooms for 28 couples PACKAGE INCLUDES: Overnight accommodations, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY for the evening of 25 March 2010 for a Soldier and spouse. 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 2 breaks with snacks per person, coffee and juice all service charges on food and beverage for each Soldier and spouse Use and setup of Conference Room, tables, chairs, and room to seat 60 adults on Thursday 1030-1715 and on Friday 0900-1500 - price included in package Overhead Projector with Spare Lamp, projector stand, 10 Cradle Screen and LCD Data Projector (2000 Lumens) on Thursday 1030-1715 and on Friday 0900-1500. Podium and sound Registration Table and 2 chairs near Main Lobby Entrance for Thursday 1000-1200 price included in package 3.1 Detailed description of services for meals. All meals and snacks will be enough for 60 personnel. a. Breakfast buffet that includes scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, coffee, juice and milk. b. Lunch buffet that includes two meats, three vegetables, bread, dessert, iced- tea, coffee, and milk. c. Dinner buffet that includes two meats, three vegetables, bread, dessert, iced- tea, coffee, and milk. d. Breaks with snacks include fruit, pastries, coffee, water and cola 3.2 Detailed description of services for accommodations. a. Accommodations are based upon reservation for 28 total rooms, double occupancy for husband and wife. 3.3 Detailed description for conference room: a. Use of Conference Room, tables, chairs, and room to seat 60 adults on Thursday 1030- 1800 and Friday 0900-1500 - price included in package. b. Any additional amenities or services which will incur additional costs cannot be charged to the government. Additional costs for services must be paid by the individuals attending the marriage retreat. b. All instruction/lectures for the marriage retreat will be provided by the Army. The hotel will not provide this service. c. Hotel must be around the Chesapeake Bay area. The hotel must be of sufficient quality to hold a marriage retreat.
