Description
RECOVERYPROJECT NUMBER 76150, UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER RESTORATION. Pool 8 Islands Phase III, Stage 3B, Habitat, Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project (HREP). Vernon County, WI, and Houston County, MN. This project is located in lower Pool 8 of the Upper Mississippi River near Brownsville, MN. The project consists of the construction of islands with dredged material from borrow locations; as well as construction of riprap slope protection, riprap groins, turfing, plantings, and wildlife loafing structures. Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment to construct base item islands. There is one option item (Island C8) which is similar to the base item islands, except that the option consists of additional work including, but not limited to, construction of riprap vanes and a rock sill. The estimated price range for this project is between $5 million and $10 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of 20 million; in addition, to be considered small for Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) and will be issued unrestricted. The solicitation is expected to be posted with specifications on www.fbo.gov on or about 31 March 2010. Please check this website for any changes or updates.
