- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for determinations required by various Federal Acquisition Regulations. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized and posted at www.fbo.gov. The determination for this acquisition lies solely with the government based on this market research and the information available to the government from other sources. National Park Service, Alaska Region is conducting this market research to ascertain if there are businesses which have the capability and experience to build a custom large boat trailer for Katmai National Park, AK. The contractor shall be able to provide all of the following: 1) Hydraulic fifth wheel gooseneck trailer with a hydraulic lift design that allows the least amount of water for loading and then the trailer body is lifted by hydraulically lowering the wheels (axels etc.) of the Trailer to lift the frame of the trailer up to 61' in height. Height of trailer frame when lowered is roughly 27' to allow the boat to be loaded in low water conditions. 2)The trailer shall be designed so the vessel is supported by the flat section of the skegs of the vessel while it is on the trailer. 3)Capacity (size) - Powerboats to 65' LOA. 4) Capacity (weight) - 80,000 lbs off-road. 5) Dolly for trailer equivalent to Londoll 402B-B. This sources sought is for the Katmai National Park, Naknek, AK 99613. All interested businesses are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than March 26, 2010, 4:30 PM AST, by registering as an interested vendor and submitting all requested documentation listed below to: National Park Service, Alaska Region, ATTN: via email, jordan_gunn@nps.gov. Interested parties should submit a capabilities package demonstrating the ability to perform work listed above. Packages shall include the following information: (1) Business name, address, DUNS code and size standard,(2) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this requirement, and (3) demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years, by listing the actual projects completed, customer's contact name and phone number for a customer knowledgeable of the work completed. Packages should be no more than 5 pages long. Responsible sources having relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336120, Truck Trailer Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
