Description
The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement consisting of ordering and purchasing signs for the Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest. The Okanogan and Wenatchee NF will furnish a list of specific signs and quantity of signs to be ordered. Standards and guidelines contained in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and EM 7100-15 are applicable. All Destination Signs will be white on brown. All materials will be furnished by the contractor and will consist of but not limited to signs. Signs will be ordered by the contractor and manufactured in accordance to EM 7100-15, Chapter 14, Manufacturing Specifications and other pertinent chapters. To meet the minimum reflectivity requirements in the MUTCD, Table 2A-3, all reflective sheeting will be no less than ASTM Type III grade. Reflective sheeting is required for all Warning, Regulatory, Destination and Route Marker signs. Reflective sheeting is required for all signs. Sign shall be delivered to the Wenatchee River Ranger District, in Leavenworth, WA. The solicitation with specifications and wage rates will be posted to the https://www.fbo.gov/ website on or about March 30, 2010. Contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, supervision and transportation to complete the project on time and within schedule in compliance with specifications. Award will be made in sufficient time for planning and preparation with work to start on or about May 17, 2010. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of both past performance information and a price proposal. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and posted for full and open competition. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Proposal package and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from the https://www.fbo.gov/ website.
