Description
Questions and Answers Question: Sun List’s the recertification fee as a flat charge. The solicitation requests that the recertification fee is itemized per serial number, Is it acceptable to list the price as a flat rate? Answer: The recertification fees may either be itemized by serial number as requested in the original solicitation, or the recertification fees may be listed as a flat rate as long as the serial numbers that have incurred the recertification fees are clearly listed along with the flat rate. Question: What is the previous contract number with Sun Microsystems? Answer: None could be found. Question: Need clarification, are we providing parts for upgrades and performing installation services at a pre-determined T&M rate? Answer: The successful offeror shall provide the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) with brand name Sun Microsystems Maintenance and Support agreements. All services that the successful offeror is required to deliver are outlined in the Sun Parts Installation Upgrade Service agreement furnished by Sun Microsystems. This is a firm fixed rate. Question: Need clarification, is the customer looking for a secured disk option? Answer: The DLA is looking for all servers as appropriately covered under the Sun Silver Spectrum Support agreement to be covered under the Sun Data Protection Services as well. Question: Need clarification. Does DLA want third party maintenance for this disk device? Answer: The Defense Logistics Agency does not desire third party maintenance services on any aspect of this requirement.
