The system shall be of Real Time Radiographic (RTR) type with digital image processing and enhancement for real time, on-the-spot use for inspection and examination for the purposes of explosive /ordinance disposal, hidden contraband detection and location, non contact search/examination of packages, bags, and sectional examination of vehicles and structures (i.e. partitioning structures/walls). The system and its components shall be ruggedized for external military environment and operate without degradation of performance under exposure to the various natural climatic elements (such as rain, moisture/humidity, temperature variations, sands, etc). The system shall be easily carried and assembled, deployed by a single individual in heavily protective/bomb disposal suit. The system shall be transportable in a single hardened foam lined case. The system and its components shall be adaptable and configurable for various uses and suit different environments. It shall be mountable, carried and operated on most robotic bomb disposal vehicles currently used by the military and law enforcement units and be capable of being operated wirelessly. Minimum required technical characteristics shall include, but not limited to the followings: Resolution- 0.5 to 0.25 mm Contrast Sensitivity- 0.5 to 1% Imaging Speed no more than 30 sec for full resolution image Viewing, Processing- (Ruggedized) Laptop/Notebook type PC based, multiple images displays, 8 X 10 field of view, images storable, download/exportable. Features shall include: zooming, contrast enhancement, B/W & pseudo coloring, image cleaning, selective image orientation, image measurement. Power Sources- Self contained internal battery; w/ external battery, DC/AC & line voltage adaptors. Penetration/Detection Capability- internal images of IEDs, pipe bombs, grenades, images of explosive devices behind steel or other metal containers, images of concealed wiring & detonating devices, internal structures of large caliber artillery shells including differentiation of conventional explosive vs. chemical content, concealed contraband and narcotics. Interested bidders shall submit for evaluation and potential selection technical specification/information on capabilities and limitations of their products. Information on penetrability and resolution on various types of IEDs, artillery shells, pipe bombs, RPG & grenades, contraband detection, and other applications of ordinance evaluation and disposal. Other information shall include reliability, false ID/alarm rate, calibration & maintenance requirement, and information on the equipment's current deployment and usages. All responses to this Market Survey should be received, NLT, 22 March 2010. PLEASE CONTACT Mark Zalaman COMM 732-427-1722
