Description
Laptop Locker rough draft - John Marshall Laptop Locker rough draft - Constitution Ave. Laptop Locker rough draft - 3rd street The United States Court of Appeals is seeking to have new laptop/cell phone lockers installed at (3) entrance locations within the E. Barrett Prettyman United States Courthouse. The selected contractor will remove and demolish existing metal lockers along with any unnecessary encasements. The new lockers will be installed with a brushed stainless steel encasement and/or a brushed brass w/stained wood encasement depending upon the location, that better utilizes the allotted space. Two separate proposals will be required for this project, (depending upon contractors capabilities). Option 1 - Electronic Card Key System Option 2 - Standard Key System (seperate keys series) NOTE: Contractors proposals will not be ommitted if only the standard key system is quoted. Contractors interested in submitting a proposal for this project MUST attend the planned organized site visit scheduled for Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Any contractor arriving after 2:40 p.m. will not be included in the site visit, and will thus forfeit their opportunity to present a proposal. Contractors MUST pre-register their intent to attend the site visit with Dana Bethea by calling (202) 216-7297 no later than COB on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Contractors should enter through the Constitution Ave entrance (only) to meet Court staff that will direct the visit. NOTE: Contractors will not be allowed to bring cameras or take pictures during the site visit. Court staff will take any photos requested by contractors and forward copies via e-mail. SCOPE: Disassemble and remove existing security lockers located at (3rd Street / Marshall / Constitution Ave.) entrances. Provide and install new locker system with custom stainless steel panels and/or custom oak and brass panels finished to match existing design. Run wiring to link all locations to the physical security office and integrate with a computerized monitoring system, (contractor to recommend and include entire computer system, wiring, and a minimum of (4) hours training for end-users as part of proposal). Provide architectural design drawings for each locker location. All locks are to be keyed separately. All locks and keys to have numeric sequence. Provide adequate number of master keys. Terms: Work shall be done during normal working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Any change in this schedule will be discussed during the site visit). Contractors shall submit name, date of birth and social security number of all workers at least one week in advance of work start date to ensure USMS background check. (Not applicable to workers who have already been cleared to work in the building in the preceeding six months). Potential contractors are responsible for obtaining the solicitation, amendments, and any other documentation from the fbo.gov website.
