Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract to The Charles Stark Draper Laboratories Inc. (CSDL), pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. This contract is a follow-on to existing contract N66604-07-0113 with Draper Labs for R&D services related to the Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) program, and will be issued on a sole-source basis since CSDL is the only responsible source with the unique AUV expertise required for successful performance of this procurement. The contract will include Cost Plus Fixed-Fee provisions with an estimated Level of Effort of (70,600) hours. The contract Statement of Work requires engineering services including the following: systems engineering analysis and assessment of AUV development programs, development and prototyping for AUV capability expansion, and risk reduction and mitigation analysis for AUV projects. The period of performance will be for five years. See numbered note 22. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site: http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO.
