Description
RECOVERY - BESSEMER MOUNTAIN ROAD DECOMMISSIONING - MT. BAKER-SNOQUALMIE NATIONAL FOREST THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0331 on or about March 31, 2010, for the BESSEMER MOUNTAIN ROADS DECOMMISSIONING Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 31, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for the BESSEMER MOUNTAIN ROADS DECOMMISSIONING Project. This project involves decommissioning several roads and associated conversion to trail use on the Snoqualmie Ranger District of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington. Work will include but not limited to culvert removal, excavation, roadway obliteration, sidecast pullback, reestablishment of stream channels, road closure barriers, new trail construction and surfacing, low-water trail crossings, seeding and erosion control and related activities. The performance period is 500 calendar days after award. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. A 20% bid guarantee is required from all offerors. The awarded contractor is required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. PARTICIPATION. This project is to be issued on a full and open competition bassis. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310. The size standard is $33.5 Million. REGISTRATIONS.
