Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. REF: VA-255-10-RQ-0135. The VA Heartland Network 15 has a requirement for Total Prevention Maintenance and Repair of the Fire Protection System, VA Medical Center, John Cochran Division, St. Louis, MO. The Government intends to negotiate the requirement sole source with Tech Electronics Inc. 5437 Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO 63139. The sole source determination is justified in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements due to proprietary software and hardware restrictions. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Size Standard is $7.0 Million. The contract term will be for a base period of one year (anticipated to begin 4/1/10) with option to renew four additional years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers. Interested parties are requested to review the requirements, and submit a statement of interest that must be submitted on or before January 20, 2010. The determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing synopsis number RFQ VA-255-10-RQ-0135 may be submitted to the VA Heartland Network 15, Eastern Orbit, VA Medical Center, 90AA/JB, #1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO 63125-4199, Attn: Karen Munroe or E-Mail Karen.Munroe@va.gov. The closing date for receipt of offers is February 5, 2010, 4:00 p.m. CST.
