- please use the attached bid schedule. The 509th Contracting Squadron is issuing a sources sought for Linen Services at Whiteman AFB. The Contractor shall pick up soiled laundry and dry cleaning and deliver clean laundry and dry cleaning. All dry cleaning and laundry shall be packaged for delivery. The Contractor shall return all unserviceable articles in a separate marked bundle to the Government after laundry or dry cleaning. Compliance with any certification or labeling requirements arising from state or local department of health regulations is the responsibility of the Contractor. Soiled items and clean items shall not be transported in the same vehicle at the same time. All clean items are to be protected from contamination and soiling during transit. After transporting dirty/soiled and contaminated laundry, the vehicle shall be cleaned and sanitized before loading the clean articles. Delivered finished articles shall conform to the generally accepted industry standards of cleanliness, finish, and appearance. All work performed shall be done under sanitary conditions. The Contractor will follow CDC guidelines for infection control. When an employee has a sharps incident involving an item in the linen from the 509th Medical Group the employee will be sent to Golden Valley Medical Center for treatment. All sharps incidents will be reported to the 509th Medical Group, Infection Control Officer within 24 hours of the incident. Non-Reimbursable Repairs: Except for the articles determined to be unserviceable, the Contractor shall repair all minor rips, tears, open seams and holes using thread and materials of the same quality, compatible color, color fastness, and texture as that used in the manufacture of the articles and shall replace all broken or missing buttons with buttons of like color and similar appearance and quality. All such repairs are performed at no additional cost to the Government. Reimbursable Repairs: Items having other than minor rips and tears or requiring replacement of zippers, which the Government desires to have repaired by the Contractor, will be identified by the Government at the time of pickup. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.202(e), a response to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. This is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources. Firms responding to this announcement should indicate their size, particularly if they are small business, a small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, HUBZone small business and service disabled veteran-owned small business.
