Description
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Deployment Cell will host an Industry Day at the Florida National Guard training area, Camp Blanding, Keystone Heights, FL on 27 April 2010 to assist USSOCOM efforts in market research on commercially available of-the-shelf (COTS) items to support forward deployed bases. The Industry Day will begin with set up 08:00 a.m. on 27 April 2010 and will conclude at 16:00 on 27 April 2010. USSOCOM is conducting market research on the following groups of products/equipment: Temporary/portable structures for forward deployed operations Temporary/portable flooring for forward deployed operations Environmental Containment Units Concealment Camouflage Netting Perimeter Security for Forward Deployed Operations Camp Lighting Field Kitchen Set Ups Field Waste Disposal Power Generation Small Form Factor Construction Equipment Clothing/Personal Field Equipment for Soldier/Airmen Black water/Grey water treatment Field Material Handling/Moving Equipment USSOCOM invites industry to submit product information to include pictures or diagrams of the products identified above with sufficient information to identify company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address. Please include dimensions, weight and power specifications of equipment as necessary. After review of the product literature, the government may invite companies to exhibit their products at no cost to the Government at the Industry Day. Product literature must be received by 3:00 p.m. 5 April 2010 by email to: john.hughes@socom.mil and earl.ebbert@socom.mil Industry will be notified electronically it they will be invited to participate by 3:00 p.m. 9 April 2010. Upon notification of inclusion in the event, industry will be provide more detailed information regarding the logistics of the event.Based upon responses, USSOCOM may determine that a second Industry Day at a date and location to be determined, will be required. If a vendor has more than one COTS solution, they will be asked to exhibit their products in one location and will not be provided additional space to accommodate. Vendors are required to make all of their own necessary provisions to participate in this event, and will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred. Industry will be responsible for the safety and security of their own personnel and equipment, to include items on display. Industry will be required to set up, demonstrate and remove their equipment and personnel from Camp Blanding on the specified date, 27 April 2010.
